The Hurlingham Club Hosts an Evening of Wedding Inspiration

April 5, 2014

The Hurlingham Club recently welcomed over 150 guests to our wedding fair as we showcased our magnificent luxury venue.

The evening, held on Friday 4 April commenced with a VIP reception which saw journalists from top London Wedding Magazines, as well as top wedding planners view and tour our stunning venue for an exclusive preview before guests arrived.

Guests were greeted with Champagne and canapés before browsing the stalls of bespoke wedding suppliers and viewing the ceremony rooms which had been beautifully dressed for a wedding. The glass-domed Palm Court was set up for a civil ceremony and the venues’ other rooms displayed darling décor and tables set up for wedding breakfasts in a variety of beautiful colour themes, accompanying stunning floral decorations.

A selection of The Hurlingham Club’s carefully chosen wedding suppliers attended the evening, showcasing their products and services, from chair covers and DJ’s to bridal wear and sumptuous cake bakers. During the evening, guests were entertained with music from Saxophonist Graeme Airth, and vintage singer Nue Vintage, displaying just some of the various entertainment options available at the venue. At 6pm, wedding blogger Juno & Joy held a master-class where to share ideas on how couples can design a style for their wedding day to complement their venue. Guests were also encouraged to take home a piece of fun memorabilia from the evening in the form of caricatures and illustrations from Caricature Shack and fun photos from Megabooth.

Not only was the event a great chance for engaged couples and their families to view our wedding venue in its full glory, but the event was also the ideal opportunity for suppliers to showcase their brands to potential clients.

Sach Singh from GC Couture said of the evening ‘Thank you for inviting us to the Wedding Fair on Friday, it was a great event and we saw some lovely couples’.

Professional Make-up Artist & Beauty Writer, Jules Cardozo-Marsh added ‘Just to thank you again for last night’s amazing event…It was great for me to meet up with other suppliers and network with some of the invited press and PR.’

The Hurlingham Club’s public Twitter account, @HurlinghamVenue was also rife with great comments amongst suppliers and visitors before, during and after the event.  Stress Free Hire amongst others, tweeted ‘Thank you for having us – it was a great event!’

The suppliers who attended the event are running a range of post-event competitions which will be emailed to guests who attended the wedding fair, and those who could not attend the event are invited to arrange a private appointment with one of our dedicated event coordinators to view our venue in their own time.
