THE DEPARTMENT

The Masterplan Team work directly within the Club structure to facilitate and manage the Masterplan Projects. As a small internal team, it focuses on the integration of project requirements between the external consultant teams and the Club’s stakeholder groups. Working side by side the Estates team the Masterplan Team also co-ordinate requirements with many of the Member groups and committees, progressing projects from feasibility stages, through brief development, design, construction and through to post occupancy evaluation. 

THE CANDIDATE

As the Project Manager you will work full time; 40 hours over five days, Monday to Friday. On-site presence is key to the role however some flexibility on working arrangements may be negotiable when required.

Typical duties will include:

• To support the effective management of the Masterplan projects, assisting with budget monitoring and forecasting as directed by the Senior Project Manager. 

• To assist in managing projects from feasibility through to delivery and post-occupancy evaluation. 

• To understand client requirements and assist in delivering  projects in accordance with the agreed beliefs, timescales and budgets aligned with the Club's governance structure. 

• To carry out duties assigned by the Senior Project Manager and, where appropriate, to support the Director of Masterplan Projects. 

 

THE CANDIDATE

Candidates will embody our Club values; excellence, responsibility and courtesy. 

Key skills to undertake this role include:

• Clear and confident communication skills, with a basic understanding of terminology. 

• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and take clear meeting minutes. 

• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams. 

• Basic cost management skills, including budget tracking and forecasting support. 

• Basic project programming or scheduling skills, with the ability to support project timelines and progress tracking. 

• CAD experience or an understanding of technical drawings would be advantageous. 

• Previous site-based or construction/project environment experience would be beneficial.
