MEMBER EVENTS COORDINATOR

ROLE SUMMARY
As Member Events Coordinator you will work an average of 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Please note that the role requires some evening and weekend work. The role reports to the Head of Member Events.
• To assist the Member Events team in the organisation of the social programme and other leisure activities.
• To develop, coordinate and manage activities pertaining to any committee allocated to the role.
• To provide administrative support and related tasks for the Member Events team.
• To assist the Head of Member Events in the servicing of Member Events related sub-committees.

The successful candidate will be flexible, self-motivated and energetic in their approach to work. Candidates will possess excellent customer service and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask across a number of concurrent duties and projects. The team work closely with committees made up of Club members and so the candidate should have the ability to communicate sensitively with a varied mix of individuals. A keen eye for attention to detail is required, and previous experience of providing administrative support for a diverse events programme, as well as previous event coordination experience, is essential.
THE DEPARTMENT
The Member Events department is responsible for the members’ social events at the Club. These range in size from regular bridge matches, regular lectures and an Annual Art Exhibition through to the annual Club ‘Big Five events: the Summer Fiesta, Family Picnic, Hurlingham Sunday, Fete Champêtre and Guy Fawkes which can attract up to 5,000 members and guests. The department comprises four team members as well as the head of department.
