Reciprocal Clubs

Members of reciprocal clubs may visit the Hurlingham 14 times in any one calendar year.

Members of Overseas Reciprocal Clubs

(a) Only overseas, non UK resident Full Members of the Overseas Reciprocal Club shall be entitled to the benefits and privileges of membership of the Reciprocal Agreement.

(b) On each occasion before use of the Club, an Overseas Reciprocal Member must show current proof of their Overseas Reciprocal Club membership, including a letter of introduction dated no more than 4 months prior to the date of admission to the Club and photo ID. The letter of introduction must confirm the Reciprocal Member’s current Membership status, and non UK residency. They must sign in the book provided at the Gatehouse and include the names of any accompanying guests.

(c) Members of Overseas Reciprocal Clubs may use the sports facilities, with the exception of the Gymnasium and the Treatment Room. Tennis may not be played more than 10 times in any one calendar year. 

Members of UK Reciprocal Clubs

(d) On each occasion before use of the Club, a Reciprocal Member must show current proof of their Reciprocal Club membership and photo ID.  They must sign in the book provided at the Gatehouse and include the names of any accompanying guests.

(e) Reciprocal Members and their guests may not use the sports facilities except as a guest of a member. When they are the guest of a member, tennis may not be played more than 10 times in a calendar year. They are not permitted in the Gymnasium or the Treatment Room.

All Reciprocal Members

(f) You may use the Club for up to 14 days in any one calendar year. You may not be signed in as a guest by another member of a Reciprocal Club.

(g) You may be signed in by a Hurlingham Club Member as their guest and pay the relevant guest fees.

(f) You may introduce a total of five guests on any Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, or eight guests on any other day. You may list your guests on the Reciprocal Guest Voucher supplied by the Security Officer. 

There is no entrance fee, however all visitors must pay the relevant guest fees, per session, as follows:

Please note:

  • With the exception of the outdoor and indoor swimming pools, grass tennis courts and the multi-sport guest fees, charges for guests under 18 will be half the above-mentioned rates
  • Weekends include Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays
  • The fees quoted above are per guest, per session

Changes to Reciprocal Agreements - May 2011

All visitors must comply with the Rules, Bye-Laws and Regulations of the Club and are asked to take note of Bye-Law 12 which states:

  • Visiting members of reciprocal clubs are temporary members and are bound by the Rules, Bye-Laws and Regulations of the Club
  • A member of a reciprocal club may use the Club for up to 14 days in any one calendar year
  • A member of a reciprocal club may not be signed in as a guest under Bye-Law 5 by a member of a reciprocal club
  • A member of a reciprocal club may bring guests to the Club under the same conditions as members' guests
  • On each occasion before use of the Club, a member of a reciprocal club must show current proof of their membership of the relative reciprocal club. They must sign in the book provided at the gatehouse and include the names of any accompanying guests
  • The Committee may declare a member of a reciprocal club "persona non grata"
  • Members of British reciprocal clubs may not use the sports facilities other than as a guest of a member
  • Members of foreign reciprocal clubs and their guests may use the sports facilities on payment of the relevant fee determined by the Committee
