Chess

The chess circle is a small but sociable group that meets on Sunday afternoons in the Harness Room or the Polo Bar, throughout the year. A mid week session is also held on the first Wednesday of each month. Players compete in the Hamilton-Russell Cup against a number of well known clubs, as well as a variety of friendly inter-club matches.

Tables incorporating chess boards can be found in the long gallery and the Polo Bar and sets and boards can be borrowed from main reception.
